My not so posh but delicious Chelsea buns

The title pretty much says it all, in my first attempt of anything in the slightest bit doughy- it was quite a success.
However it did take a long time, so it's a lovely Sunday mellow bake, with about 10 minutes exercise (kneading- that activity is exhausting. Luckily you get an hours break after the strenuous handing of dough, thank you baking gods).

Anyways although they looked good? I think I did over bake them- the rasinins were unrecognisable balls of charchol. However after picking off the massacred rasinins, the buns were rather good. Horray, I feel like Paul Hollywood would be proud, or at least like the effort.

P.s these buns don't last long, I gave them to friends after a night out a day or two later and even in their paralytic states  it was demolished by the bin and that's is saying something! However they all said how nice they were. Luckily I have polite drunkern friends- note to self eat on the day and if friends aren't there- eat all to ones self. Problem solved.

Eggcellent baking

I know, the title is so original. However it's that time of year, the daffodils are out and the sun has finally come back to join us. Easter is coming! Everyone seems that little bit happier, with lighter evenings and daytime drinking becoming that little bit more acceptable- summer is in sight.
So feel like an mini egg? Or two? Or three?
Or just make a cake and cover it with eggs! That's what I did, and my family feel in love with it. Maybe one of my most successful bakes. So hears to mini eggs and also the fact it's not summer yet so stuff our faces in chocolate once more.

P.s I've given up chocolate for lent, which made making this cake twice as challenging

Happy Easter 🌼🐣
